Clancy puts nature first with added firepower within the environment team
GeneralWe are delighted to welcome Sharon Palmer and Hannah Leggatt to our environment team, leading our work to make sure that we can look after the planet while delivering the infrastructure communities need.
Sharon has joined the business as our new Head of Environment – Assurance and will work closely with our contracting teams to hit the targets we set with our clients that protect the ecosystems and habitats where we operate.
As Head of Environment for Construction and Major Projects, Hannah will work closely with our business development team to make sure environmental ambitions and commitments are firmly embedded in everything we do, now and in the future.
Both Sharon and Hannah will sit as part of our growing Health, Safety and Environmental Quality team, reporting to our director James Hiom and also working closely with our Head of Sustainability, Mike de Silva.
James Hiom, HSEQ Director at Clancy said: “As we face a climate emergency, there is an ever-greater need to ensure that our activity cares for the natural environment – from protecting soils and watercourses from contamination, to taking steps to look after plants and wildlife. We’ve continued to invest in new ways of working and tools to make sure we’re staying at the forefront of these challenges, and with Sharon and Hannah’s expertise will be able to continue to strengthen this vital part of our work.”
