Clancy win Northumbrian Water Leakage Hackathon Award
GeneralFrom the 10th – 13th July 2018, Clancy Docwra participated in a three day hackathon at the Northumbrian Water Innovation Festival, where a number of our staff competed against teams from organisations across the country to tackle the subject of water leakage. Our team comprising of Paul Glenister, Kyle Ingram and Josh Mercer, along with a number of business partner organisations were provided with data relating to water leaks; soil types, water pressure, pipe materials and many other elements and were asked to come up with new innovative methods / thinking in support of reducing this leakage.
After 3 full days the team were able to successfully deliver and present on their solution that support leakage technicians to identify leaks more efficiently and thus improving their productivity within the field through using the data available to them. The team were awarded with Best Visuals and Design, using a number of functions such as Data Analytics, Machine Learning and an App-based Front end to formulate the product concept.
